hey dudes - this may have been covered but my search didn't pull anything up, and it seems this would be the place to ask-
i finally have an EGC coming my way, and am wondering which fuzz pedals you dudes have tried with their humbuckers or other high output pickups that worked for you.
I'm pretty certain my favorite MKI Bender will start to compress too quickly even with the guitar's volume waaaay down.
so...what still has some character with big ol' pickups?

i reckon a mk1 tb would be good with hot pickups coz they tend to fizzle and gate out quickly with (my preferred) low output pickups set really far from the strings.

ssbs stuff can take a hot n heavy input signal, fuzz war/apocalypse

i'm certainly going to try the MKI with it - i just like to be able to go from sizzle to fat and compressed with the volume knob on my guitar - we'll see how it works.

the other fuzz i always run is a Superfuzz - if my Basic Audio doesn't work well, i'll try the Buzzz - I still have one of those around.

DBA stuff makes sense. I know Dwyer's EGC has single coils, but I also know they're hot - he and Ty Segall both use the ol' Fuzz War with Beans/EGC - good call!
