Amazing Interiors: The Thread For The Show

I am one of at least 5 people that want to talk about this so, as the Grand Master Chief Deputy Soy Boy, I'm making a thread. For those curious about the show these posts pretty much sum it up.
coldbrightsunlight wrote:Amazing Interiors is great you guys
How do the women put up with this stuff (not all, but the ones that are weird basement projects initiated by the men)??
Achtane wrote:Wife: Half a lifetime of quiet desperation, staying in the marriage for the kids, wondering what could have been over every cup of morning coffee
Husband: "I can use gears from the junkyard engine in the kids' room to make this horse statue into a STEAMPUNK UNICORN!"
But seriously... these people on the show make me look like Eivind when it comes to collecting belongings

.
EDIT:
That said... some of the people have great intentions and make the super space for charity which is admirable. Other's are just DIY savy and have created great spaces. I'm not making this thread to put myself above any of these people....
that said, to that said... there is some straight up madness

Does this show involve the collecting, refining and placement of doilies?

I'm afraid not. I will keep an eye out for other shows.
TBH, I could get into that too.

Now I know this is an itch that needs scratching I also want that show.
I like the variation of having some people who are just very nice and have too much money and some people who are... A bit obsessed. The guy with the rotating car basement really annoyed me though. He has all that money as a property developer I'm Manchester? That means he's one of the people making this a worse place. Wanker. Immediately obvious roughly where his house is though which I could have guessed even without a picture of the street

I wish Raymond Carver was still alive to write short stories about guys who build sports bars in their suburban basements.

I like the show. It’s 50% men obsessed with X and they dedicate their basement to it and 50% architectural genius.

Yes!! Or maybe 70/30
I definitely prefer the actually good architecture and design but the obsessives are fun too

I'll rewatch it!
Thinking of the shipping container people, there was a show called Container Homes that used to be on netflix but it might be on Prime or Hulu now. It's pretty badass. Some of them are "yeah I'm a struggling college grad just trying to strike out on my own, y'know (in my parents' backyard)(outside the guest house I can use as a backup)(using my parents' money)"
Most of them are pretty incredible.

The one shipping container couple were just... really really talented and artistic/handy people. Our friend from the Mid-West on here remind me of them.

I just finished rewatching Black Books and will join the circus here because it seems to be a lot of fun.
I want Sharky to stream himself watching episodes with commentary so that I can pretend I'm watching it with him to get maximum enjoyment. Make it happen Pat-O!

The one who converted his house to circus won life. You got this super active guy who is DIY handy, with a... dare I say... philosophy. I love the inspiration from the Islamic mosaics.

I feel like I would get burnt out if I made my whole house one major theme like the circus.
