An hour video on flanger can't all be bad though. :idk:

What else is goin' on in the world of flangers? :snax:

Never really liked flangers but I took a chance and picked up one of the big box A/DA Reissue units a few weeks back and it sounds great.

THere's an exerpt in the Pedal Crush book about flangers. Most people assume it's jet-airplane only and never get past that

that being said, I love tha jet flange!

The Thorpy Camoflange sounds solid there, but that demo really did nothing for me. Considering that Dan Coggins (designer of the Lovetone ? Flange) is working on these Thorpy modulation boxes, I was hoping for some really exotic/experimental sounds. Maybe someone else will make it sound more like a dream generator, but as-is, the Pyramids & the Strymon Orbit are still better for sci-fi synth sounds.

I bought a DOD Bass Stereo Flanger for $20 a while back and I really like it. It looks like it's been through a war.

That's it. That's all I have to offer about flangers.

I love the cold flanger sounds that pop up on the new Charli XCX album. The intro here features that retriggering action that I think possibly is the Pyramids.

Got the Pedalboard friendly version of the ADA Flanger a couple years back and overall it is the best sounding flanger I have used. Sadly I don't get to use it because it has had several technical issues and the customer service at ADA sucks ass. So until they decide to write me back and fix the fuckin thing it just sits on a shelf.

The Alexander F13 neo is what I use now. Super versatile, love the presets, and it does lots of far out shit I've never heard in a flanger. Generally I like more tubular/underwater flange sounds and this thing is feels more spacey and bright sounding. I really dig it though.

I also have an old DOD FX747 that sounds like total cheeseball ray gun noises in the extreme settings but for lush chorusy tones is the absolute BOSS.

I used to have an ADA clone and it was definitely one of my favourites. Lovely sound and a good range of controls. I've been thinking about getting a new flanger and I may just get another of those lol

I've vaguely wanted a Zero Point for years, so when I got a Zoia I made a workalike patch. It's neat.

The barberpole through-zero flange / ring mod that Drolo puts on the Molecular Disruptor is amazing. With the feedback up and the sample rate down and a little bit of random ring mod mixed in, it doesn't sound like anything else I've heard.
I like any flanger that can self-oscillate and there aren't enough that do. I'm still digging on the Subdecay with random waveform.

I wish the Chase bliss specter was better priced, modulating the zero cross was transcendental. :zen:

edit: more like, I wish there was a more pared down version fo the chase bliss pedal that did the whole modulating the zero point thing.
