Black Friday/Holiday Pedals 2019 - 3 new circuits

Post by DRodriguez »

Working really hard to get a couple holiday specials out. 3 new circuits. 10 of each for the holidays. They will be on a plain enclosure with a face plate on it. Prices still being finalized, but they will be 10% off during the holidays.

Black Friday Special #1 - Crown Fights

Inspired by the broken Sunn Alpha Bass I picked up in Brooklyn. The three knob version of the solid state amp goes into complete sonic obliteration.
Gain, Volume, and a single tone knob. And a second stomp to bring in a second higher gain channel inspired by the Sunn Beta in parallel. all in a compact 125B box

Black Friday Special #2 - Chipinque (Chi-pink-eh?)

Original fuzz design. The concept is 10 meters running in unison to spit out a harsh, staggering, waveform. Recreating your waveform in a series of stepped square wave pleateaus and sharp cliffs. Throw in a 1-band parametric EQ and you get a variety of sonic destruction. In a 1590BB

Vol - Output Volume
Sense - How sensitive the 10 voltage detectors are
Bias - How much negative resolution you want
Boost/Cut - 15 db of focused tone
Freq - Goes from a wide shelf adding or cutting above 1kHz, to a tight and focused 100Hz for low end clarity or crushing depths
Input- Do you want to overload the sensors or just barely trigger them?

Black Friday Special #3 Hey!
Lofi compression from a vintage console. When you want to sound goopy. Some mild distortion on tap
Input, vol, and distortion controls. In a 125B

I'll likely record a clip at the start of december. Waiting on stuff for the prototype but I'm headed to austin on Friday and won't have recording gear for a bit. Holiday pricing will last through the end of the year though :thumb:

I got a couple questions on the chipinque so here's some more details.

Here's a waveform with sensitivity set low. Green is input, red is output. This was early in the testing. So phase is flipped (when one goes up, the other goes down.

Here's a waveform with higher sensitivity. You can see alll the stabby plateaus that made me think of the chipinque mountain in monterrey. Red is input, green is output. Now in phase.

And here's it doing its thing on a sine wave with different input levels. The higher the peak, the more square wave plateaus it gets.

Still in the works unfortunately, will still offer discounted pricing for the first month upon finishing it. Looking like mid to late January.
