I'm getting older... it just dawned on my this decade is coming to a close (good riddance ). What are were some of your favorites this decade?
It's interesting to see the lists compiled. So much happened to the music industry over the past 10 years. I have no idea how one could makes a cohesive "ranked" list. I'm not asking for this here. Just "your" favorite releases in no particular order.

Someone put GRIMES "Visions" as their album of the decade... I mean, it would probably be in my personal Top 20 Every TOBACCO release would be among my favorites. ARIEL PINK 'Pom Pom' + 'Mature Themes' + 'Dedicated To Bobby Jameson'. SWANS 'The Seer'. ICEAGE 'New Brigade'. The first SALEM LP. PRIMITIVE MAN 'Caustic'. Every BIGU UPS release. WEED 'Deserve'. We can be here a while

So... what are 'among your favorites'? (Does not have to be a definitive list, or an ordered list, doesn't even need to be a list).

I'm a yuge SW fanboy as you know but Bisch Bosch didn't do a huge amount for me. I absolutely adored The Drift and it's one of my favourite albums in general but it's four years too late. I also haaaated the Sunn O))) collab because I'm a party pooper and don't like anything Sunn O))) do. Wrong forum for it, I know.

Dean Blunt ranges from "witty, seethingly satirical and well composed" to "abhorrently lazy" and the ambiguity of where one side starts and the other starts is pretty impressive.

I think you and I are the only dudes on ILF who love John Maus

"Love" is an understatement. If I met him or Liz Harris... I would probably void my bowels and start crying
Now I'm thinking of super prolific acts of the last decade. THOU, THE BODY, FULL OF HELL. It's hard enough to pick their best of the decade.

I did know this about you (the hate... not the party pooping). That album is not for everyone. I really love how over the top it is, dare I say, "Expressionist"

Also going to preemptively apologize for the lack of Rap/Hip-Hop. I don't actively listen to that. The last two rap albums I remember listening to where the 1st RUN THE JEWELS when it came out, and 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D City'. Sorry... very out of the loop.
