The new batch of Twin Peaks from DROLO was available today (Monday November 11th, 23:30, Brussels time). At 23:30 I tried and tried to order one, it was available but the cart just didn’t worked… then after 15 minutes it was out of stock. It’s been many months I’m trying to get that pedal… but some pedals are just unobtainable. Frustrating experience.

IFer… what would be your suggestion for a trem with all those wave shape as the Twin Peaks… no need for a tap tempo and all the fancy stuff.

Maybe take a look at the Walrus Monument trem

I don't have the skill to build a pedal.

The Twin Peaks does pop up on Reverb a fair amount. I know because for the longest time I was trying to get a decent priced Molecular Disruptor. They were all in the $200-250 range. So I think you could have some luck just checking every day on Reverb.

I've been watching for a while. None yet or most of the time they are more expensive than a new one.

The trems with the most wave possibilities tend to be the bells & whistles models that have things like TT/ext tap/MIDI, et cetera. I don't think you can find an abundance of waves these days without TT.

If you want something compact with a random setting, the Mattoverse Tremstortion might be your best bet. (never played this though)

I'm fond of the Empress and the Cusack Tap-a-Whirl. Those are fairly diverse and smooth, but can also do square wave chop. The Empress only has 3 waves, but the ratio and rhythm pots allow for more customization. The Cusack isn't as intuitive, but it does have 24 waveforms. (used they're about $158 Canadian)

Desiring amp trem, I'd recommend the Fender Tre-Verb. It's straightforward and sounds great. I use all 3 of these, in addition to a Gravitas and other models.

That being said, the dual path of the Twin Peaks and the filtering might be hard to replicate with a single trem. The Stone Deaf Tremotron can do synced trems, but it's kind of a pain to get them to play nice. That pedal is really ideal for someone who is running a MIDI board with saved presets.

My favorite harmonic trem is the EQD Night Wire. If you paired a Night Wire with a cheap secondary trem, you should be able to replicate the more nuanced textures of the Twin Peaks.

I'm so deceived about this… I hate unobtainable pedals (like most EAE pedals that get sold at a higher price used).

Maybe the Malekko Goatkeeper would be a good choice?

Did you reach out to Mr. Rolo?

I'm a big fan of the gravitas, you can customize the waveform to a degree. Probably gets less choppy than drolo's though and no random unless you do midi hackery.

Never tried the Gravitas, but in my experience CB pedals are cold sounding.

Have you tried putting them on a hot plate? Or knitting them a tiny sweater?
