Is it me or did it seem like the BOSS DD-8 didn't get much love on it's announcement? Is it because they're biting off of existing trends? There seems to be enough of a difference from the 7. Curious as to what everyone's thinking about it.

I was raving about it, seems like a great little box to keep pre distortion. But I'm also on a budget and still paying for ableton suite lol

Seems awesome. I too was surprised to not see it discussed anywhere. If I was in the market for a multi-mode digital delay with a small form factor, this seems like the obvious answer.

I still think that it should have an addition tone knob. Or make it two of them: low cut and high cut. This can be done with concentric potentiometers. I wanted them in the DD-7. The DD-9 won't have these, neither.

Looks great. If I happened to end up with one, I'd be a happy camper-amper-mper-per-er-r.

Slightly off topic...they update the DD-3(t), but only give it tap tempo? No latching option for the hold function? Only $20 price difference between it and the DD-8? Kind of dumb.

if it doesn't sound as crisp as the dd7 it's a winner, even more considering the price tag is gonna drop in a few months if it follows the usual used-boss-pedals market.
A tone knob would have been the solution but i guess they couldn't fit it there.

They have concentric potentiometers since they launched the Metal Zone. So why not implement high and low cut knobs? I'd buy it right away and sell my DD-7!

There's always the DD-200, which isn't that much bigger and has a dedicated tone knob. Also, modulation on everything I think?

It's quite a bit more expensive? But not so much so that I probably would (and might) opt for the 200. this one still looks good though if you're in the market for a small multi mode thing
