Nice work! I liked Moonset Pleasure Drive the most; it made me think of Casiotone for the Painfully Alone for some reason (probably the synths?) - the Etiquette album... but if you don't know this album, only listen to it if you want to feel really down... Oh and the guitars on January have a really Fripp/Eno 70s thing going on (which is a good thing in my book!)

"Written, performed, recorded & mixed by Kate"
That's what I'm talking about!
I think this is your best to date. I clicks a lot of boxes for me genre wise, and passes my "I can burn this on a CD and keep it my car" test.
I feel like you would excel in movies with the tone of a 'not quite late 2000s indie movie'. You really have a bit of everything here. It's tame, but you bring the noise! It's cool like Lou Reed, but you bring eclectic music tastes into the mix.
I feel like "Post Apolagistic" is a good focal point for what you're up to. It's almost the foil to early ARIEL PINK records (who I adore btw). Where as the noise is in the forefront for him and the melodies are in the background, your stuff embraces a very much cohesive 'song' attitude but puts the noise in the background in a stew.

TLDR: I was a big fan! This rant brought to you by HiBall Energy

 thanks!! Everything is about balancing my overriding instincts to make nice stuff with noise because I just don't think I can make nice stuff that is quite nice enough to stand up you know? So I've changed my writing process to be much more scattergun rather than starting with a finished song and then recording that.

But also in a less conscious and pretentious way I just like a bunch of things and think rigid genres are overrated.

Late 2000s indie movies are a vibe. Hit me up Wes Anderson 4.0
