I've had the Frazz for a while so I can talk about that.
First of all, the gate option I say is a triumph. I especially like the location of it so while I play rythm I leave it on, but if I start tremolo picking I can just move it over with my feet. On the higher gain settings, there is some hiss that bleeds-through the gate, but I prefer leaving the gain so it's right before a spot where there is bleedthrough, because then it's silent when you're not playing, but doesn't sizzle out on sustained notes and if you want, you can still coax some feedback if you stand really close to your amp. The mix control is a great effect to have on a distortion, I tried it on my friends acoustic, and it turned out lovely! (if you can use lovely to describe distortion) The volume control reminds me of my big muff's, after a certain point it doesn't really make you louder very much, it just makes it sound like your amp is exploding which I like, but hey, I'm a muff lover! To be truthful, the only thing I find annoying about the Frazz is the sizzle knob has to be changed each time you move another knob, and is rather sensitive. Other than that, I love it!
I've only had the Cosmichorus for a day and I didn't get to play very much (went to four concerts that day

) I must say that it is the best chorus pedal I've ever played! Beat out a vintage small clone... It can definetly go as fast as a small clone! I brought it to a friends, and we both love using it as a vibrato! Some settings get pretty flanger-esque too. Ryan, keep an eye out, ZVEX may be coming out with a ZVEX Chorus-Cosmi Factory.

better check the guts of that one!

Thanks for the review, David! I was wondering how you have your amp set up when you play your Frazz or other fuzz pedals? I always use the Frazz into a totally clean amp with lots of clean headroom and I think people get pretty different results when they use it with an amp that's cooking a bit or already quite distorted. Just curious about that.. I guess I sort of intend the Frazz to be used with a very clean amp so it provides all the distortion.
The sizzle control has changed a lot over the years but I definitely know what you mean about its interactiveness with the other controls. I really want it to be a super versatile control that can change the character of the tone in more than one way, rather than a simple treble cut control like most tone knobs. I like the idea of one treble control being able to cover lots of territory but that makes it more likely to have complicated interactions with other parts of the circuit like the gain and volume controls...
Thanks again for everything!

I try to keep my amp pretty clean, but sometimes I'll crank (if you can say that for how far I turn it up

) the gain up to 4.5 because it actually adds some more clarity, and just a touch of overdrive. My EQ is constantly changing, but right know, I'm going-
Gain 2.5
Treble 8.5
Middle 9
Bass 7.5
I sculpt the rest of my sound with my tone pots, volume pot and pickup selector. It seems quite a lot of people forget about those...
On an unrelated note, I think it would be really cool to buy one of those third hands and use it to control my amp's reverb.
The only problem is the cord is way too short...
