Partly inspired by Chank posting THE SEEDS in the jazz thread (what a goof), partly inspired by WEYES BLOOD’s Nadwar interview where she mentioned mods and THE SEEDS, partly inspired by the fact that around uh... May? I rewatched QUADRAPHENIA (Man, they don’t make them like that anymore. That said... I mean... if the poor lad just got like... a little bit of sleep 100% of his problems probably would not have happened).
So Mod thread? The probably already was one in the past 12 years but that’s okay. Post Mod music, fashion, mod fan-fiction, analysis of mod movies, and just drop a line about your day. Rockers welcome too!

**Poster’s Note: THE SEEDS are not a mod band. Nope. The MOD is a very British invention. So a garage rock band from Los Angeles would one thousand percent not consitute as a ‘mod’.

I'm really hoping for some Mod Fan-Fiction...
Two things...
1. My actual favorite musician of all time was a mod growing up! Highly doubt anyone will guess it. It's not a trick question either. The person was VERY popular in the UK. That's my only hint for now.
2. SLEAFORD MODS count... I decided.

3. Mods... lay off the uppers... get some sleep.... you will feel better and think better. Life will be so much easier.

So, uh, I never quite understood what a Mod is. Is it just people who like the Who?

This seems a cool idea.. the only mod stuff I've ever really paid attention to is The Who.. Live at Leeds made an impact on a young me learning bass as Entwistle was himself.. so this might be interesting... or not... anyway... Have you watched Rebel? it's about a senior citizen mod.. being grumpy and stuff
I was going to start writing some QUADRAPHENIA fan fiction. Started doing google image searches and realized... I totally watched a very badly color corrected version back in April They actually did a great restoration of the film.
I have a buddy who is in media buying for streaming. To me it's fascinating what media properties you get when you buy up a lot (and which versions come with that, how it is distributed etc.)
Also, put the dance scenes of QUADRAPHENIA on mute and try to play some other chunes over it
