Warm fuzzy retro synth sounds

Looking for some synth based music that has the same warm, nostalgic vibe of Mother Mallard.
Tangerine Dream and most Berlin school stuff feels cold like the surface of some alien world. I want to hear a sunset over a golden field on a warm day. Boards of Canada vibes are cool too but I would prefer stuff that is actually old, shit, I guess BoC is old now...you know what I mean.

Reminder to love your plants. Maybe less fuzzy and more brassy?

These were actually... gasp... digital additive synths... sequenced with... SOFTWARE!

Highly recommend reading about this album and Laurie Spiegel in general. Super interesting stuff.

Or don’t read about it. Watch it! Bell Labs is like 10 minutes from where I live.

It’s really a special one. I was looking for another video for you of old television station interludes much like what repoman posted... I can’t seem to find the one I’m thinking of. They were very BOARDS OF CANADA like. Very warm... familiar but also, giving that feeling of unease.
Assuming you’re into old school (first 3 LPs) BLACK MOTH SUPER RAINBOW? I thought the last TOBACCO album was sort of a return to that form, while maintaining the solo TOBACCO identity. That is newer music though.
I could rec a ton of old school, and 2nd wave dark wave stuff that is “fuzzy” but it’s not warm. It’s cold and clinical.

Also, the namesake of BOARDS OF CANADA... lots of cool stuff here. Check out the documentaries from the 70s and 80s. Cool visuals and sounds

I have two more for tonight. A track off an old favorite. This is an avant garde pop masterpiece. Start with this track as it is the “warmest”... lots of polymooog action. I have visceral memories of the first time I heard this on the radio.

I feel like I’ve posted this 10 times on ILF but... wtf... one more time. This isn’t just warm... it’s sensual.

Oh wtf... one more. Not going to pretend I’m busy tonight

Not a synth... a farfisa. Philip Glass - North Star. Omg, warm and fuzzy... and a sensation that something incredible is about to happen!
I sincerely hope you, or anyone, enjoys that album as much as I do!

Re: Syrinx, a pal of mine did a cool story about John Mills-Cockell, the synth dude behind the band:

Before TV stations were allowed to cram in wall-to-wall commercials, they had to shoehorn in Canadian cultural content, including a series of NFB "vignettes", so this is x-rayed into my synth consciousness:

Also recommended, of course, the genius of Norman McLaren:

Man, that Bruton Library rabbit hole lasted me a long while. This one was the standout of the albums I checked out.
