List your favorite noise pedals! Basically I'm looking for suggestions/recommendations for pedals that are out of the ordinary. For example don't list any fuzz pedals unless it has a useful feature for creating some wicked sounds. And to clarify what I mean by noise pedals; noise pedals = anything that makes crazy, unusual, wacky, quirky, or messed up sounds. To further clarify some more I'm looking for pedals to create textures, scound-scapes, bloops blips bleeps, evolving sounds, random goodness, controlled chaos, etc.. Also if there are no pedals that fit that bill then list combinations of pedals that can be used to achieve above results. Go!! Thanks!!

Some standalone oscillator like the Dwarfcraft Squaresnakes or the Sleepdrone from KCP

The Dwarfcraft Thumping Double Square Snakes and Rot Yr Brain come first and foremost in my book - especially when run through a reverse delay.

Sweet! Any good reverse delays that you would recommend? I'm in the market for a delay pedal also.

I also forgot...

Both the Bugbrand PostcardWeevil and BoardWeevil. Almost untouchable for glitchy noise making.

Yeah, Bugbrand makes some good stuff. I own the single knob bug crusher.

Well, for the reverse delay, I use a Danelectro Back Talk - not made anymore and somewhat difficult to find. What I like about that delay is that it is strictly reverse in nature. No having to fiddle around with switching from regular to reverse. I also have an EHX Memory Boy that modulates like crazy and also a very cheap but good Behringer analog delay (VD400). It really depends on your intended application. I also hear the coming 616 by Malekko is going to be waaaay sweet.

To make noise-scapes, I plug my EHX Stereo Memory Manw/hazarai into itself, set it on reverse delay with a high repeat level and short delay time, crank the spring chicken and boost my supermassive black hole fuzz.

Wah pedal. unbelievably handy, huge dynamic change with just a sweep of the foot. Also MURF + fuzz

Flanger Hoax is the most versatile to me, but that's because I'm a modulation junky. The Space Station can make some amazing noises, but it goes for quite the pretty penny now.

I'm only beginning to bond with my Flanger Hoax now that I've liberated it from my board and started recording with it on my work desk - there are bajillions of crazy sounds hiding in there, and plenty of them are wicked noisy. Flanger Hoax + modulated delay could equal some NOIZE!

I've also coaxed some wild stuff from the Holy Stain's pitch shift + fuzz smaction.

Actually... now that I think of it, I haven't played around with the Flanger Hoax + Holy Stain yet... ... I think I know what I'm gonna be messing with this weekend...
