Flanger oscillating whale sounds

You know the knobs video where he really gets those long flanger oscillations out of the spectre. I’ve kinda seen that out of the pyramids as well. Are there any other pedals out there that do this. One is way too expensive and the other too many options for me. How to come up with that sound?

most analog flangers have trimpots inside so you can adjust the feedack

EHX Flanger Hoax can make the sounds that whales would've made if whales howled instead of sang. But it's huge, has (too) many knobs and is out of production, so it probably doesn't match your criteria.

I used a Behringer Flanger for this back in my early noise mkaing days(2006/07). Just maxed the trimpot inside.

In a pinch you can run two flangers into one another. Crank feedback and depth and play with manual knobs to become CyberWhale

I get some cool whale sounds from the Misty Cave pedal when using an expression pedal.

This is one of my favorite things. The Subdecay Starlight mkII has a trimpot inside that you can adjust to make it do this. It's great because the different waveforms give you different sounds. The Mooer Eleclady can also do it if you're looking for something cheap.

That one is digital. I asked him if it would oscillate and he said it doesn't.

A bunch of the old Japanese flangers will do it--my Amdek certainly will. I'll have to check if the Next/Fender series will. Chank? I've heard more than one demo of the Yamaha FL-10M/10MII doing it, and also of the old Guyatone/Nady PS series...they can all be had for south of a hundo (sometimes significantly so). Hoax is great at it.... :snax:
