When are the digitech blowouts going to happen?

Memorial day? sooner? I see proaudiostar has been featuring digitech stuff as sale items but I'm waiting for the "gonkulator styled blowout" since it seems whoever bought them out aren't going to do shit with the brand.

I wonder if Tom will fess up to the space station revival was ever in the works or a dirty robot 2?

I actually have wondered the same thing. I've been patiently waiting. LOL. Seems wrong but deals man. Fuck! Right??

Haven’t been scoping the Harman direct sale site in a while, but enough deals have cropped up. Some of the vendors haven’t had sterling rep, but I’ve had enough decent experience with PAS personally that I would keep using them. Prymaxe didn’t screw me, either. Alto did a decent deal with new sold as B-Stock. I think Pittbull was running a good deal on Obscuras.

What I would really like to see is a deal on the Looking Glass. I know, seems kinda TGP, but still, seems useful, flexible, sounds good. Oh, and the basic DOD stuff in stock would be great, much less a discount past the usual $40 prices.

I'd be down for a Looking Glass myself at a fair price. Have a Rubberneck incoming already. Not too into the Digitech stuff usually, although an Obscura wouldn't hurt, but I'd love me some more cheap DOD.

The Digitech stuff is great IMO.
Hardwire series sounds really nice too - the delay and the distortion are pretty rad.

I'd get a Looking Glass for the right price. Perhaps another Rubberneck to keep stashed as backup, just in case.

...and the octave/whammy ones, a Carcosa, FreqOut, Obscura...:idk:

I would be very surprised, as in "knock me over with a feather" surprised, if Samsung does anything with Dig/DOD.

Can't talk about that stuff.

I can talk about what is now public knowledge: The entire Canadian DigiTech Pitch/Beat Detection Team was snapped up by Yamaha, and the only guy that knew a single thing about Space Station code was hired by InMusic. I'd keep my eyes on those companies.

So do you think everything is going to be discontinued, including staples like the Whammy?

I bought a Rubberneck, Gunslinger, Nautila and Boneshaker for roughly half the price they used to go for when they first came out.

Flipped the Boneshaker, kept the other ones. I'm good on delay/verb, but I doub't I'd be able to pass up on a stupid deal for a Polara or Obscura.

The Rubberneck's kinda finnicky and unpredictable for an analog delay, the controls seem to be extremely interactive. Still a keeper though.
I'm still on the fence about the Nautilla. Cheap as fuck, but I think a BF-3 and a CE-2W might get me thicker swooshier deeper toanz :idk:

As far as my space station curiousity goes...I guess a RP Tensor would do the stuff that makes me like the space station :idk:

No idea, they cut me out of the loop last June (wow almost a year now!).

I figure with no staff, no dedicated engineers, and no one really in charge, then nothing that takes more than minute or two (like scanning and signing a re-order form) will ever happen. If it were me overseeing the slow death of a brand (thank god it isn't) then I would keep making anything that still has demand. I'd also look at the last 12 months drop-off and assume that drop-off will continue, then recalculate re-orders according to a percentage that matches the rate of drop.

But who knows, maybe they are selling better than ever, with no staff their costs are definitely a lot lower!

Seems silly having just bought a Ricochet, but that’s pushing me to also get a Whammy V while I still can. If anything were to continue coming out of the lobotomized division, that would be the one, but you know, FOMO.

Interesting insight. I have been speculating about future blowout sales too. FOMO, for sure. Whammy is a classic I have ignored for decades. Contemplated a Ricochet but I have been convinced the treadle action is the right way to go.
