Headrush looperboard

Figured I would start a thread for this beast. As previously discussed
here.
I would love to hear some impressions from anyone who leaped on this. What's the good/bad/ugly/etc...
Strengths and weaknesses?
I'm contemplating making the switch from a boomerang, but given the size and price point I'm feeling a bit... cautious.

It was 19 lbs. 19 bleeping pounds!! I didn't care for how it sounded. It was okay but more of a phrase looper workstation which is fine if that's your thing.
The effects sucked IMO.
Didn't care for the touch screen workflow.
Cost me $43 to ship back to MF so you better make sure you really want it.
They probably have an open box special on one though <g>.

I had one preordered and both folks I saw on forums who received them, including shikawkee, returned theirs so I bailed on my preorder until further developments arise.

What do mean you didn't care for how it sounded? Do you mean just the effects, or does the unit itself impart it's own color to your signal even when not using the onboard effects?

I mean compared to how my rig sounded without it in the chain. It imparted some crispness I didn't care for. Sort of "tinny". Too much color I didn't want.
YMMV.

Ok thanks for the intel. I just canceled it. I can't have no tinny sounding stuff (other than from stuff made of tin). I'll wait for some more reviews to decide if I want to jump back in.
This is actually ok because now I don't feel bad about also buying that new Moog Matriarch. I'm saving money by browsing this forum.

Shikawkee is singlehandedly losing thousands of dollars for companies and we might not even have his same quibbles lol.

Ha! Yeah. If it had any redeeming qualities believe me I would have kept it.
I've never hated a piece of gear so much. Ever.

It almost makes me wonder if he is intentionally spreading bad info about this thing so that he is the only one using it and benefiting from its awesomeness. Kinda like that guy on Instagram the other day who refused to tell me what video software he uses for fear of me outdoing him with his secret sauce.

Ha! Not likely.
I'm willing to share anything and all things at this point in my career.
People who hoard ideas and stuff are hurting not helping music.
I got my refund. I'm happy. Out $43 but happy.

I knew this was going to happen. It was just too goddamn good sounding to be true. Fuck. I'm going to still grab a used one down the road to try out but that's super disappointing.

I would wait until a lot more people have them and there are more demo videos on the web. Maybe it was just me and my particular preferences. Who knows.
I definitely had a very strong reaction to it and I used it every day for almost a week before I bailed so it's not like I didn't try.

Im back to considering a Looperlative LP1 for my end-of-chain looping device. Seems like it has a good blend of standard features and some weird stuff.

I touched one at the store today then gave a longer glance at the ehx 95000, then banged on cymbals for an hour. Time well spent.
