I liked it but it was awfully Slayerish, to the point where I started listening to Decade of Aggression to work out which riffs were cribbed from where.

Jrmz I am positive you have not investigated the Darkthrone trilogy of FOAD, Dark Thrones & Black Flags, and Circle The Wagons.

It's unusual to have a veteran band late in their career release three fucking killer releases, each showing some evolution. I love these three as well.
Saw Nocturno Culto 2004 when he did a bunch of Darkthrone tunes with Satyricon. Then Satyricon did a set and then Nocturno Culto joined Satyricon to jam on some of their stuff.
