It's about software that was exactly copied, rather than using similar analog designs, but it does make me at pedals like the Flatiron and Glove. I've seen them using the Rat name in copy for the Flatiron. Did they pay licensing rights for that?

A worst-case scenario for pedal cloning analog designs, generally means someone e-mails you and you're forced to put a disclaimer on your site or in your ad copy.

The Mooer lawsuit does crack me up. The Chinese have done this to American businesses repeatedly, but this is one of the dumber examples of getting busted. If you're going to steal someone's work, then you've got to go looking for the hidden signatures in the coding.
