Every used OP-1 I could find for less than $1K had some sort of issue, one of the reasons I wanted to get one in new condition.

Did they finally release more of them? I know they were having a hard time sourcing some parts (displays?) and it wasn't looking good. Anyway, I was signed up for one from Vintage King but after like 6 months of waiting I gave up and used my deposit for something else. All the reports of them breaking didn't help me stay enthused, either

I don't get how you'd break an OP-1.that thing is built like a tank.

I don't think it was in terms of taking abuse, more like faulty parts.

I pretty routinely see listings where at least one knob is broken or the speaker is blown out or something and the person is only asking $50 less than new.

Bummer they're done with these. I picked one up earlier this year and it was one of the best gear purchases I've made in a lot time.
