Boss RV-500 users, do you notice a big volume bump in the looped playback when using the hold function? Hoping it’s fixable with some buried setting tweak.

I have also experienced this issue and recall there being a way to offset the boost by using one of the additional parameters in the control submenu. I'm about to noodle with mine for a bit and can elaborate further afterward.
[Edit:] After tinkering with the assign and control menus and reading through the manual again, I'm finding my memory did not serve correctly. There is an output gain parameter in the patch menu that may prove useful in this regard, but may also reduce the unit's overall volume. The wave pedal expression setting in the assign menu might be another option worth exploring. If nothing else, lighter playing when using the hold, warp, and twist functions seems to consistently attenuate levels.

I don’t get a drop at all on mine.

But indeed. I played with it some more tonight an if anything I get more of a swell, especially if I play while holding. I can share the settings if that would help anyone.

I meant he was asking about big volume bump, not volume drop.

I experienced a volume bump with the hold/loop as well, don't think you can mess with the volume of it though
