It was miserable outside, because in this country that never has summer it's somehow been 30 degrees and sunny every ducking day for the last five months (I blame Brexit). Now-Former ILF user xchristophex posts one of his semi-annual 'pedal board photos with a caption' posts.

He is accidentally bullied out by the ILFLuminati in a routine case of razzing.

I have to break this into multiple posts because otherwise the submit button doesn't work.

After said razzing, it comes out that the nerds involved in this jazz all hate tape on pedals. This is, obviously, a bad take. But what say you, general gear folks?

To my mind, taping over pedals serves essentially the same purpose as etching or rehousing. Aesthetic alteration. The nerds disagree.

Who is right? Only the thunder dome of publicly articulated opinions can say.

I don't understand what happened here but now I have to go look.

Also, tapes are dumb. Just sayin.

I was hoping this thread was gonna be about "Vape on Pedals" and you'd just made a typo.

Same as stickers on guitars, I couldn't care less what people do with their own gear.

I guess it depends on why the tape is there. Embarrassed of something? Just rock it, who cares.
