So im thinking of running my JMP wih the gain dimed and working the volume knobs on my guitar to control the gain. Loved the sound i got from having to do that last night when my board died.
With that in mind, for solos and heavy rhythms, I have three pedals:
Boss super overdrive
Ehx green russian reissue
Boss turbo distortion
Which one would work best with this setup. i also have a bass limiter enhancer for compression that might work as well.
Lemme know.

Boss turbo distortion, get a little latching switch for its remote out so you can have a middy solo boost in addition to its full frequency boost.

It's exactly what I do with my YBA1, SD-1 with gain really low works great for me.

I feel like BOSS SD-1s and Marshalls were made for each other. Been using one with my JCM800 for 15 years.

The only correct answer, obviously: All of them, at the same time.
Srs though, try a Harmonic Perolator when you get the chance.

Yeah it’s really a perfect match with Marshall circuits. I don’t know how the SD-1 doesn’t get more love. It’s my favorite cheap overdrive by far

YEa man, shit sounds great with it. Also had really great luck running the fuzz face into it, and adjusting the fuzz level depending on the pickups I use.
