So I don't know shit about recording at all, but here I find myself doing some and I've run into an issue, as exemplified in this clip:

I'm running my Boss RC3 into Input 1 of my Fast Track Pro, and my Les Paul direct into Input 2. The Fast Track is going into my ancient (2009) MacBook Pro (OS 10.8.6), and I'm using Garageband '11. The noise is definitely coming from the guitar channel, and is not the result of anything physical e.g., whacking the pickups or anything like that.

Can anyone advise?
