bypass pop or occasional bleedthrough?

So I make this HAX pedal, which makes a lot of racket. The problem with it is that in the traditional True Bypass wiring there's occasional blleedthrough from the oscillator/tone generator when bypassed. To remedy this, i tied the power to the chip to the indicator LED, and it pops when you engage.

I chose to go with the popping seeing as most people who use the hax are bedroom rockers or studio noisemakers. But now I've gotten an email about fixing the pop, and i wonder if theres anything else to try, or if occasional blledthrough would be preferable.

I don't mind a pop.

Or as we say in Virginia, "soda."

Wait by standard bypass wiring I assume you've input grounded it? That should usually remedy bleedthrough oscillation, make sure the input and output jack grounds don't tie together though or it wont work properly.

To fix pop (although high gain circuits make this harder) usually adding an large 1Mish Pull down resistor after the output cap can help.

I assume you probably know these things, but best to check.

NO actually the output grounds in the bypassed mode. But we'll try the input ground scheme, if that fixed it I'd be pumped up like an inner tube.

All my stuff was output grounded. Input gorunding seems to clear most of it up.

Ah right, awesome then man.
Yeah just saw that thread and thought if you hadn't sorted it, your answers may be held there.

There was an awesome drawing in there of a method that gorunds both in and output though, I might try that, too.
