I saw this last night and hoped it was a hoax. Really sad, as a big fan of his bands and him as a bass player and as someone of a similar age with a family. I can only imagine what they're going through, terrible.

Was (and still am) really shaken by this. Really hit me in the stomach. Probably my favourite screamer of all time and a massive inspiration.
(Very small not really important side note: Kinda pisses me off that the only thing you can do when people lose someone like this or end up in shit situations is send money. Anything to help really, but it annoys me. But yes, I donated.)

Ah man. Didn't know this had happened. Cave In's entire discography has been a regular for me since I was a teenager and Calebs vocals among the most wonderfully visceral. One of the best bands I ever saw too. Sad news

Found out about this yesterday -- wtf. Cave In were a big part of my high school days... Old Man Gloom much more throughout the past decade. Seriously bummed about it -- I loved his energy and power. It was intrinsic and raw without resorting to machismo.

I know no one has posted in this thread for a minute, but a friend and I are flying from Chicago to Los Angeles for the show on October 13.
