I like the Seppuku better because it's way louder. So, the improvements on the SRC should be most welcome.

Sean is a friend of mine, it’s cool to see his stuff get mentioned here! I definitely want to try out that Energizer, that circuit seems cool but I don’t want a LWA pedal.

I have a $90 clone and I don't especially care for it.

I use it as a buffer for my Dark Star.

Is the volume control that handy? It seems there's quite a few with it, though the original didn't have one.

Just took a look to make sure I wasn't talking shit and the SRC I have is built on a madBean Karate Shop pcb. Seems like it's barely above unity. I don't blame Sean for that though. I blame MadBean (or whoever did that board). The Seppuku, on the other hand, is loud AF.


Wondering what Sean's using now for the newer SRC builds. Either way, I'm sure it's an improvement. Especially if he says it now has double the output.

Yeah, I think it is. Harmonic Energizer definitely works better for me stacked with another dirt pedal as well.

Oh okay, good. I thought that was the case. I remember trying mine out with just the guitar and trying to do filter sweeps and being like... "UGH"

OK, just checked that SRC I've got and it does get a little above unity. Still not anywhere near as loud as the Seppuku. Hopefully the new SRC changes that massively.

Yeah, usually Harmonic Energizer before other dirt for me. Except with the Harmonic Percolator. Harmonic Energizer after in that case.

I know EAE John did the board on the new SRC board no clue if he helped with the schematic. looks like there is an extra op amp that might be working as a boost?
