K.O.G. Mini Glitch

A year ago, the guy behind the Radiohead gear blog released a small batch of glitch pedals (35?), which have since sold for 2.5x original cost. He has an updated circuit for $180 US/ $200 international.

Will you like it more than a CT5, a Grazer, or other similar pedals? :idk:

If you're someone who wants to try everything once, though, this might be the best time to demo one.

Well that's cool. I like the input triggered glitch thing.

All I want a glitch pedal for is the stutter. Raptio is ideal but they're super hard to find now. This would definitely be a good alternative for me.

I don't think to've is an accepted contraction, unless you're a chimney sweeper in a musical. If you drop the ('), however, then tove becomes an intransitive verb, which means to smoke or emit a smoky smell. So you should be able to keep it in your community play.

Who cares if it's an accepted contraction? I used it. Deal with it, contra'scist. :idk:

Not sure, however, that The King of Gear appreciates you mangling his name. :wizard:

The part of the video where they are talking about the click reduction makes this quite a bit different sounding from a Raptio. The Raptio is super heavy on the click sound when you trigger a stutter. I think TKOG considers that a flaw but to me the click is a big part of making a stutter sound that cuts through a mix. This seems to be more nuanced. And on the bright side its $50 cheaper than a Raptio if that's a concern.

Also, fuck it. Ordered. Will be interesting to compare this to the similar boxes I've got on hand like the Raptio and Super Flutter. I expect it will be more flexible than the Raptio but not as much fun as the Super Flutter.

Oh I remember the kickstarter or indiegogogogo for this one, was intrigued at the time. I've recently ditched my Judder and Raptio, maybe I'll give this one a spin(chip) when I've got a couple extra duckets.

This is the dude that stole someone else's code, yeah? :idk:
I remember quite a bit of arguing about it back when he first popped up with it.

Didn't know anything about that.. I was super into the demo until reading this.

Searching...
I don't think the name was even brought up, but I swear I remember a thread about it.

There is a program in the FV1 community called Greenwood which was designed by someone to emulate the Max/MSP patch Jonny Greenwood uses in Radiohead. The Feral Glitch is perhaps a riff on that program. Looks like the program or programs in this new pedal are revisions of the original Feral Glitch program. But also the Raptio, Possessed, Revolvers, and Mandala are all FV1-based stutter pedals with similar functionality so there is going to be some program similarity between all of them. Especially since the FV1 is a toolbox more than a blank slate like the microcontrollers Sonic Crayon uses for a more elaborate effect in the AntiNautilus.

Ah, found it.

Also, FWIW, for $180 I'd take a chance on this, morals be damned.
