Aggressive/abrasive octave up?

What all does this? The Joe Gore Screech looks really promising. I’ve been using a Nano POG and it’s way too clean, tried the Pitchfork but it was still too pretty. I think I need something analog like an octave fuzz, but I mostly just want glitchy, gross octaves with some grit. I have a Bitquest that gets close, but doesn’t do exactly what I want in the octave modes.
Edit: using this on bass

If it's just simple one octave up stuff, then a Green Ringer variant or the Foxrox Octron 3 could be worth checking out.
The Emma Okto Nøjs is an octave up fuzz with a separate sub octave, it's pretty gross.

The Maxon Void (or other Ampeg Scrambler clone) may be worth a try for grotesque upper octave doubling only. If you need analog polyoctave gnarliness, the MI Audio Pollyanna delivers.

That actually looks fucking awesome, I also forgot about the Pollyanna exists. I may have to look into that again.

This is always a great idea. But you would have to alter the pitch of one of the inputs. F ex by using any sort of pitch shifter like the pog you already have. You could also go for a vitruvian from subdecay. But something like the Carlin is more obnoxious and more fun.

Dwarfcraft she fuzz is rad for gross abrasive octave fuzz.

Mid-fi Peace Gun gets really rank. There's also the Wolftone Helium & Chaos, both of which do octave up, though I haven't played the more readily available Malekko versions, only the originals.

I love ring mods and tried to get the Gonkulator or the one in the Bitquest to do it and neither would. I haven’t tried a Carlin, but I used to have a Moog that i loved. I may have to build one.
I feel like octave fuzz or ring mod is closest to what I want, I just haven’t found the right one yet. I have a reasonable amount of space on my board, but I’m trying to stick to a Metro 16 powered by a DC5 so nothing too excessively big.

Ring mod the signal against itself is octave up. There is no carrier oscillator on something like the Carlin...it's just your signal twice.
Passive ring mod with a spitting buffer:
https://youtu.be/2RXXd7uIYtA (didn't want to embed...so I didn't) red is pre dirt, green is no dirt, blue is post diet iirc...anyway, Carlin is a transistor version of that (and much better with not added dirt...it's great).
Monobius does it too (with some bleed...it's a great pedal).
The fuzz on the old ring stinger is the same idea.

Yeah the pedal formerly known as Shiva sounds way gross in the best way.

That's the nastiest octave fuzz I've personally tried as well.
But a green ringer is brilliant for this with any dirt pedal you already have.

I use a green ringer too. Turns any dirt into octave dirt.
There's also the Buzzz but I found without the octave on, it loses a little definition.
Copilot Cubic is awesome for suboctaves.
If you wanna get super gnarly and have access to octave up and down plus some intervals, AND if you can find one, Infanem Second Voice is among the gnarliest. Infanem STEP does a great octave fuzz too.

If you can find those Maxon pedals used, snatch it. They usually sell in the $90-$100 range. I had the void and it was a ton of fun.

Robot Devil from Dwarfcraft also has a nasty octave up. How about some Fuzzhugger as well? Tom makes some gnarly octave up fuzzes.
Are you a TB member? Someone over there posted this almost exact same thread.
