Jessup Sunn clones?

Anyone have any experience with these? The BT-06 demo videos from Jessup (20W Model T w/ EL-84 power section) sound great but there are only two, with their distortion.
Looking for a different flavor from my Princeton Reverb clone and JC40, I've been waiting on the right Dwarvenaut but I like the relative simplicity of these (and most of the used Dwarvenauts are pretty low on details).

Most of the hovercraft stuff has been discussed at length on this forum. The general consensus around here does not paint a pretty picture. After what I’ve read and for the price... I would stay away.
Jessup stuff was pretty over priced but it looks like it’s come down prettt significantly. Why not just buy an actual Sunn? Some of the non Beta non Model T stuff is pretty affordable.

Above comment is completely right. Hovercraft amps themselves aren't that bad, which is much more of a compliment to Jet City than anything, but Hovercraft business practices are shitty and they should be avoided.
Even red knob Model T's come up for decent prices sometimes, saw one for $1250 a week ago. Obvious advice above all of this is: consider a V4 instead, they can be had for dirt cheap, are spectacular and louder than any other amp you'll ever own.

Don't forget HD130's and their ilk, all great, cheap heads.

+1 on a V4.
Also, older Peavey amps.
From what I've read, Jessup seems to have a reputation just above Hovercraft.

This, forever. Get one, take it to a good tech, take care of it and you will never have a better amp. Treat it badly and you'll never have a working amp though.

Sunn Solaruses/etc. and Ampegs are way beyond what I need in terms of power unless I also invest in some kind of serious attenuator or Fryette Power Station or something which starts throwing the money way out of whack.

What are some good older Peavey amps to look for? That's quite a swamp to wade through.

VTM's and Butchers used to be had for cheap until the whole "peavey kvlt" thing happened and now they cost 3x as much as they should. For solid state stuff the Musician's are great.

Do you want to be a master of rock for $400?

Super simple, one chanel that sounds beasty when you push it. Small. Loud if you want it to be.

@ all you folks with your V4 posts, HAIL.
I originally wanted a Model T when I started looking around at amps but quickly realized that wasn't going to happen given how expensive they've gotten. While searching for cheaper alternatives I stumbled on a shootout video the dude from Bear Amps did between a V4 and a 2nd gen T. I was pretty impressed by how the V4 sounded so I started researching them more and eventually found a dude selling one in my area for ridiculously cheap. I guess mine used to belong to one of the bassists from Earth, which is pretty rad.

That’s it right there, dude.
