Synth/drum machine shelf/table - DIY/IKEA

I'm looking for something to keep my drum machines and some synths on. I have a desk I use for synths sometimes as well as soldering/guitar setups, but II want a dedicated shelf I can keep my drum machines hooked up and ready for easy plug and play. Something like an angled table platform - like a drafting table.
Music stands aren't that expensive but I'm curious if I can find something from IKEA for cheap or just build one. Any of you build something like this?

I have a little table from IKE/\ called L/\CK. It's a comfortable height and size where it can be a soldering table, hold a big 4-track or several small synths, what have you. With like a piano stool beside it you don't have to bend forward much to play. Oh, you might have longer arms than me. That reminds me, what I really, really want is a synth stand on a wall-mounted, jointed telescopic arm that can be tucked away when not in use.

I found a folding card table on the street and brought it home. It's not angled so I put the stuff I don't have to fiddle with that much near the back and the fiddly stuff near the front. It's not pretty but it was $0, so

Thanks. I think I kind of answered my own question with the draft table idea. I can screw in some little blocks to hold the devices since the surface will be at an angled. Time to browse Craigslist.
