DBA Harmonic Transformer

I found this pedal in an old guitar shop in philly called Broadcast Guitars a few years back, and i hung out with the owner and we bullshitted about stomp boxes and jazzmasters.

I was getting into extreme fuzz and stuff around then and he busted out the Death By Audio Harmonic Transformer, and i remember losing my mind over how the pedal just seemed to destroy sound.

It was awesome. Does anyone own this pedal or have owned this pedal?

I need to know MOAR

I've been GASing for so long for either one of those or a Soundwave Breakdown. I have a Supersonic Fuzz Gun which can get so dense and destructive, it makes my family shut my door and move up a level even when the fuzz volume is lower than my clean volume. The problem is, people seem to want to hold onto their DBAs so their very hard to find used and $300 for one knob/two switch fuzz is a little ridiculous, even if it does come in a super-bad-ass huge encasing. I think beneath all the hype and stupid prices (SSFG is reasonable for what it is though) DBA pedals are genuinely great and original :thumb: .

I'm not endorsing DBA, since I still haven't gotten my fuzz gun back from them, even though I did finally get a message saying they would send it to me (two weeks ago, still waiting...I've hit the 4 month mark on a repair  ).

anyway, new prices are insane, but fullscaleonline.com is having a 25% off sale this month, which includes dba pedals. The code is: anniv6
They do have a harmonic transformer listed but no soundwave breakdown. still, the discounted price of $225 for one is steep, maybe worth it to ya though.

Seems cool, but 300 is kinda :whateva: Could just get a geiger counter for that much
With the 25% off it is much more appealing.

Now I have to chose. :grumpy:

Robot seems pretty useless but it looks fuckin' dopefresh

the octave up and arp sound samples on the dba site for the robot sounds nice. at least this version of the robot sounds more useable than the original one that was $400+. I don't like the fuzz setting though - that is blasphemy around here.

Hey! Those samples on the sight are pretty cool sounding (albeit not $320 cool). I was just refering to this:

they definitely need to put some distance behind that old version.

Between the awesome and usable octave fuzz and the crazy appregiator, I'd fuck yes! I might even grab one instead of the HT or SB. Depends, on if everything's cool with the SSFG trade.
