Fuzz Recommendation (specific)

Who better to ask than you guys for a fuzz suggestion
I’m looking for a fuzz that has that ripping Velcro sound, super sputtery, and gated. If possible, control over the gate and starve of voltage.

Yo I think you posted the product description of the Zvex Fuzz Factory.

Unpopular opinion, but I think you're looking for the Fuzz Factory.

For even more control, might I recommend a Fat Fuzz Factory?

As an alternative to the FF suggestion, maybe Fuzzhugger Velcrobot?

Looping velcro sample as a carrier for a ring modulator.
Or sample Velcro, pitch it right, load it into a sampler, and use a midi pickup.

That's the most lordgalvaric answer I've ever read.

Fairfield Unpleasant Surprise is an alternative to the FF recs.

Yeah that is a good one. I never stop wanting one on my board. I don't know about controlling the voltage, but the onset goes from suuuuper gated, like nothing gets through, to balls to the wall octave fuzz and everything in between.

Unpleasant Surprise and Velcrobot for sure.
Both have a fair bit of overlap, but go different places in the extremes.
Fuzz factory is nice and will probably do the job, but I'd say either of those two fit the bill better.

I'm gonna point you in a different Zvex direction: to the Fuzzolo. It's cheap, it sounds fucking great, and it does exactly what you're asking and then some. Plus, it's cute and tiny (cue: TWSS).
Check out this demo around about 3:58 for the gated/spluttery side of things:

Reminds me: why don't I have one of these things yet?

Faceless fx Marquis? I think he calls them De Sade now. Like a mk1 with a bias/starve. Really chewy and snarly.
