Gated fuzz for bass?

Is there a gated fuzz out there that does heavy tones well more so than Velcro stuff? I really dig the square wave in the Data Corrupter soloed, and I don’t mind oscillations at all. I haven’t tried a ton of synthy fuzzes or gated stuff. Currently I use an HM2 with a noise gate which actually does the job pretty well.

TAFM has a gate and it's nice

Personally, I love the SSBS TAFM and Paradox Fuzz-E-Cat, the latter perhaps fitting your description better. Infanem 141T/G are great and cheap options too, if you can find one.

Was gonna say Mastotron or Soda Might. As unpopular as Devi is here, the Soda Might kicks ass.

Honestly the civilian Geiger counter with bass mod would do it too

I haven't mentioned before, but I discovered the Blue fx Crash fuzz is great on bass. Like I tried it on a 1x15" and it really rattled my teeth, though that was in a small room. The tone knob works backwards, cutting bass, so that is useful. How gated it is depends on the clipping (germanium or silicon, I think), and the fuzz/bias/volt settings, of course.. With the bias at full it's max starved/gated, then when backing that off and turning up the volt, oscillation/scratchy crud happens. It's not the easiest fuzz to get the hang of, but it does a lot of different shit, can sound super thin or very thicc.

I've tried all of these, but didn't really love any of them? The TAFM is really sick but it's too like "indie fuzz pop" for me. None of them seem to get heavy enough. I do like PLL's a ton though.

What exactly do you mean by heavy? A bass boost in the form of an EQ could probably aid in your quest for the heavies. If it's more gnarl you're after, then adding and OD after your fuzz could help accentuate, an OD before could make it more splattery.

Generally I'm looking for something along the lines of Nate Newton of Converge, but for this more like my Microbrute with the Brute Factor cranked and a really short attack/decay on the ADSR? My HM-2 is a Dunwich board built by SRC effects and with the noise gate+a BiFet I leave on all the time my normal tone is pretty much exactly what I want. I just need biting, synthy fuzz for a couple of songs. I'm also adding a Nano POG soon.

Honestly it sounds like a Soda Might/Meiser would be good after the HM-2. With the gain dimed, I get these "inter-oscillations" between notes, with some upper octave, especially with something boosting the front of it. The Might is a bit more tame the Meiser, so the latter would probably be better. Someone with cooler knowledge of fuzz could probably guide you to something similar.
