fender or Squier Duo sonic. It's like a mustang wihtout a trem and instead of pain in the ass get in the way switches, it has a handy toggle switch!
I've had 3 duo sonics, and my fourth is coming soon

two i had to sell, one i gave to my son, and one might go to my daughter, but Im going to rock its balls off first.
the one in the house currently is a fender from the 90s, 93, I think. Pickups are pretty weak, and the tuners were double-shit, but if you buy any damn set of tuners its an upgrade.
The one that's coming is a Squier Classic Vibe, the new ones. It's a 24" scale. the one I played in the store was liek a dream. Light, loud, and bratty. And it looks liek electric sex.

They look ALOT better in real life. Try looking for used Fender cyclones. If your lucky you can find of of the single-coil ones for fairly cheap used. Don't get your hopes up though, they're a bitch to find

. I looked for 3 months and gave up and blew all my money souping up my Telecaster...which I'm about to trade

I built one from mostly vintage parts I found on ebay.

the neck, vibrato, control plate are all mid-'60s. The body I'm not sure about. Other parts are new.
Always wanted one ever since I saw a diagram of a Mustang in Hideo Kamimoto's book.
