Played a lot when I was younger and I've been missing it lately. So I've been listening to The Adventure Zone podcast. It's pretty good.

I also am. About to finish up a campaign and start up again with a new group.

I've been pretty invested in Pathfinder since 3rd edition D&D gave way to 4th, which really wasn't my cup of tea. 5th edition seems sweet, but it's too similar to Pathfinder for me to bother with playing both. Honestly, though, recently I've been finding Numenera (Cypher system) and the current Star Wars RPG (Genesys system) way more compelling than any D20 system game. I highly recommend checking them out!

D&D? Its been probably decades, and I kinda miss what it was but I never really got on board with the 3rd edition or anything that came later. I played a one shot years and years ago in the 5th edition rules maybe? It was confusing. There were all sorts of powerups to track, and eveyrhting had become weirdly specific and I never got it.
I grew up with 1st edition, and I preferred everything about 2nd except for the explosion in "kits" and crap they started to push, but rules-wise 2E was where it's at. Last few times I played, we used a rule set called "Dungeon" or something which was supposed to harken back to the more open, imagination based versions of D&D, which was nice.
I'd actually really like to play 7th Sea, again. It doesn't scale for "end game," you get to be stupid powerful and certain things just walk over everything else, but as far as "fun" goes, 7th Sea was fast and a blast to play when you had a group of people who were all on the same level.
I tried really hard to get my old group together over the summer, but personal issues across teh board kept it from happening.
FWIW, my personal favourite pen and paper RPG has always been the 3E rules for Gamma World. Sure, it was missing vast amounts of things that always left it more than a little half baked, but it was a great combination of fun and silly, plus growing up in the late '70s and early '80s there was a lot of cold war nuclear armageddon fear in all sorts of things, and Gamma World really played into that for me.

I love D&D! Not played that much, one small campaign with a bunch of other amateurs and now I'm 3 sessions into a 5e campaign with some new friends that's been a lot of fun so far.

Still playing 4th ed with some friends, but with adulthood and parenting and work moves it's becoming a massive challenge. We moved to online sessions a couple years ago but even that's slowing down and I think we'll be calling it done soon. Time for a new group!

I've also been adventure zoning. So good.
About to start a campaign at home, I hope. I've only ever played once so I don't know nearly enough about it.

I actually just wrapped up a three-year Pathfinder* campaign, which was awesome. I've played at 20th level before, but I think that was my first time getting all the way from 1 to 20 naturally.
* Pathfinder is D&D for those unfamiliar. It's another company's slightly updated version of 3rd edition under a different name. It's like a boutique Big Muff clone with a mids control.

DMing a 5e game with friends I've known since we were kids. Reconnected after we moved back to the area last year.
One setup session, two gameplay sessions. They've leveled up, solved some puzzles, collected loot, defaced corpses, contracted scabies from buxom wenches, destroyed a yuan-ti nest, battled a monster they refer to as 'the invisible vagina,' giant spider, flail snail, and attempted to unravel the mystery of their initial imprisonment.
They always bring some obscure mead or some shit. I drink ginger ale. Usually four-five hour sessions...it's a really good time.
