Worst side by side album cuts ever?

the situation: when a song is super rad. And you jam it at full volume, because it's an epic jam of glorious proportions. But then the song ends and the next track comes on and it is a hot mess of awfulness, made infinitely worse because the previous song was such a banger.

I have two. Can't embed because mobile.

First: Ride's Going Blank Again.
Leave Them All Behind is one of the greatest album openers of all time. Twisterella is a steaming pile of meh.

Second: Motorhead's Bastards.
Born to Raise Hell is maybe the best Motorhead song of the second half of their recorded output. Don't Let Daddy Kiss Me may be the worst.

Pink Floyd, Meddle.

Out of Fearless and into... San Tropez? And then it gets fuckin WORSE with SEAMUS?
I want to go back in time and say "Guys. I don't need a break between the good songs, OK?"

Somehow Fearless and San Tropez have always worked together for me in a set, sort of the way the big chorus of voices just overtakes Fearless then fades out and then bang, we're reachin' for peaches on the beaches of San Tropez.

But Seamus? Awful.

Cosmic Dancer is the worst song on Electric Warrior. Especially when its right after an opening jam as hot as Mambo Sun.

Yo La Tengo's Fade.

1st track: Ohm!
2nd track: some really bad cover of a beach boys song.

^ This guy gets it (except for the part about Seamus- must be a cat person).

I'd argue that putting guns next to roses was the first and worst mistake there.

Lesbian's Forestelevision is amazing up until about the 35 minute mark, buulding forming a long crescendo or anticipation, and then they climax with the shittiest King Diamond impersonation Ive ever heard.

I just woke up but that was the first thing I thought about

NOFX - Punk in Drublic.

'Don't Call Me White' going in to 'My Heart is Yearning'. Yikes.

I don't have a specific example, but if you're listening to a Ghostface Killah LP, there's a very good chance you can be listening to a total banger, and in a few minutes be listening to something godfuckingawful. Ghost totally rips, but in the early days especially, his quality control was garbage. Loads of stinkers on his massively bloated albums.

I've always felt Floyd would have done the world a por favor by Jamming One Of These Days" 16 minutes longer and then going right into Echoes, skipping the rest of the tracks on that record.

Mine would be:
"Mistreated", the ultimate BARN BURNER of the Coverdale/Hughes era, moving into "A 200" as the ultimate letdown of an ending for an LP.....

Also "Demon's Eye" into "Anyone's Daughter" as well.

I disagree, bastards is one of my favorite albums, but I feel that born to raise hell and bad woman didn't fit in a otherwise dark, angry and gloomy record for motorhead :idk:
