So there's only so much mileage I can get from my DE-7 self-oscillating!
I play bass synth (Sub Phatty) in a 3 piece band and need some more tabletop, stand-alone noise devices. I could use my sampler for pre-recorded stuff but nah. I want to make cray shit on the fly.
I know I could mic up the other onstage and put them through monotron filters and stuff, but this stuff needs to be quick to set up and tear down for festivals etc.
Cheers!

What type of sounds are you looking for?

I guess pretty aggro stuff. But anything interesting really.
I'll probably get a minilogue at some point for more 'musical' sounds.

Koma Field Kit? Could also be integrated with your Moog via CV.

For aggro I'd recommend a 909 and an MT-2

On the Sub Phatty? Will look into it. Been looking for a decent distortion for it actually

Ring mod with distortion makes me think RMA Monobius. I might be a little biased on that though.
What sort of budget are you working with? This will plant a line somewhere on the bent toys to purpose built chaos synth spectrum.

The Marbeu Synth stuff looks great and affordable!
Budget wise, around $200 I guess.

Cool, yeah if you're looking at CMOS and/or 555 based generators $200 should go a long ways.
Sadly I don't have much in the way of recommendation outside RMA stuff, which admittedly pushes the budget - as discrete builds are more labor intensive yadda yadda yadda.
I recall there being an etsy seller who also had a fuck-ton of noise oriented builds, but the name slips my mind.

Microgranny isn't quite what I had in mind......but I am absolutely getting one now that I've checked it out. More useful for my own stuff!

Definitely see if you can find any of the bugbrand boardweevils second hand, they are superb for drone and rhythmic stuff, the 12 and 15 have insane filters on them too. With the knobs and touchplates they're a noise tweakers wet dream!
