3 dirts

So we have the one fuzz to rule them all thread, and everyone has their favorite dirt pedals, but I wanna know: What 3 dirt pedals combined give you the most versatility? I know you could probably have 3 Brothers and do just fine but I'm not trying to spend 900 bucks on my dirt section.
Basically I want 3 dirt pedals that can get me through any fuzzy situation that arises. Something light, something heavy, something weird. Somethings that can do all those things? Octaves? Oscillations? Let's hear it!
This is mostly just for shits because as usual I'm poor and I'm not about to spend any money on pedals for the moment

Mini, Fuck, and Buzz? Honestly SS/BS just nails it. Maybe missing oscillations with that though. Maybe replace the Fuck with a Superoscillo 88. I can't think of many dirts that oscillate on their own.

Yeah, oscillations aren't absolutely essential (ILF card revoked)
I honestly will probably just go all ss/bs as usual.

For me:
An oscillating fuzz (Fuzz-E-Cat) or a super textured fuzz (Velcrobot?)
Super fuzz or something muffy (Buzzz)
Fuzz face (TAFM)

Here's what I've planned atm for my future board (again, once I get a job)
OD/fuzz: Zander Circuitry Cafetiere, an SI Percolator
Synth/gated fuzz: Mastotron or Frazz
Octave/"vintage" fuzz: EMMA OktoNøjs or Dream Reaper

My favorite distortion is the DOD FX86b. Very cheap pedal.
For an overdrive, I've been enjoying my DIRGE EVEN ANGUISH (Evan's take on a harmonic percolator. Not a cheap pedal $190, but it stacks amazingly with cheap distortions and fuzzes. I also have a VOX AC15 and the EA really brings out the best of that amp).
Also enjoying my Mid-Fi Magic i (again, not a cheap pedal, envelope controlled overdrive...stacks really really well)
I also have a Boss SD-1. I just wrote about this in Witt's thread. Brian Gibson from LIGHTNING BOLT used one so I remember getting it because of that. This pedal is $50 brand new so used is probably 50% of that. Also pairs very well with the VOX. I love heavily distorted metal/grind/thrash but a drive with the VOX circuit gets me tones I am also fond of. Think THE DAMNED "New Rose" THE UNDERTONES "Teenage Kicks" and the above video.
My buddy swears by his modded DS-1 (I think he removes the clipping diodes?). It needs to be through an amp though. The magic does not hold up in the box.
I also don't think the EHX Metal Muff is a bad pedal. That was one of my only pedals for a while and I was able to get a ton of sustain out of it. Again, that through AC 15 (not even half way cranked) and I thought I was SUNN O))) for an evening.
I have more dirts than any effect though so what I just wrote is only a slice of giant monsanto grown watermelon.

I don't disagree with that combo. I have two PLL's (including Antlerface's 4046m) and they are insane! I enjoy the Rat/ Solid State pairing.
Rfutkamp pretty much sold me on the all encompassing GL-100. Yet to find it for the cheap.

Which other PLL you got I can't remember? I sold my ELTA in anticipation of PURPLL and the wait is fucking murdering me.
Also Rat and SS amps is where it's at.

Not a straight up clone but I have a DIRGE PLL Fuzz based off of the parasite audio PLL (Ray Gun Youth Fuzz). It has three knobs. 1. Volume 2. Length of loop 3. Interval
It is really really loud. I have three DIRGE pedals now and am a big fan of all three.
