Somebody help me remember this song

It's a solo female singer-songwriter folky thing from the 70's(?) probably something of a radio hit. The lyrics are typical high school angst about not being pretty/popular, there's one section about girls with bleach blonde hair getting married young and fading away? IDK it's driving me nuts
