Could you narrow the "modulation" part down a bit? That's a pretty broad category.

Modulated Delay/Echo - Ibanez ES2 Echo Shifter. Awesome pedal. Really warm. Gives you grainy repeats, oscillation switch, pitch modulation on the repeats. With lower settings, it can act as a faux reverb.
It gets pretty out of control very quickly though.

Thanks Sharktooth!

What are some analog ring mods, Galvar?

yes okay let's say:

echo/resonator
filter/phaser
chorus
vibrato

For vibrato, the Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl can get kinda cray.

I've liked what I've been hearing lately from the SubDecay Prometheus as far as filters go.

There're lots of pedals that can get cray nowadays. Still not really sure what you wanna hear or how much you wanna spend. :snax:

What Chankgeez said. The sky and money are the limit! For example for $45 more you can get EarthQuaker Space Spiral. Not sure if it is 'analog' but I wouldn't let that affect your decision.
I was looking at the Transroom the other day and it sounds awesome!

The Cluster Flux and the Wombtone are two of the weirdest analog modulation pedals you can own.

Any delay that's compatible with the EHX 8-step can get fairly wild.

Way Huge Supa Puss in 'chase' mode

80Tape Limbo

VB-2W

WMD Protostar, Dwarfcraft Happiness, Warm Star Shape Shift Mountain

Moog MF-102

EQD Space Spiral (not analog): it has a somewhat lo-fi, analog-like sound. If you like weird chorus/pitch effects, this is a good pick.

EQD Sea Machine (not analog): this can do bright chorus to alien textures, if you get to know it.

Xvive Wave phaser: this does some envelope/filter stuff, in addition to phasing.

I used my Protostar today. That pedal is like the logical conclusion to a filter pedal. Not cheap, but totally worth it. Mine needs 500ma to turn on.
