I have my science cab 2x12 on top of an emperor 1x15 and it's starting to bother me. my science almost fell off last practice and we don't have enough space for me to put both cabs side by side (not that I would want to anyway considering I like my tower). What do you guys recommend for this?

Ratchet straps?

This thread needs pics. If you have your head on top of everything and it's still sliding off, maybe putting some kind of rubber matt between the two cabs would help keep things from sliding off?

A rubber mat seems really eloquent for this sort of thing. I do have my head on top. Originally my head (a mig 50 midget) was also having issues with being shaken off the science cab (regardless of it being on top of the emperor cab) but I fixed that with a small cut of foam. The thing was the foam I had was too thick to sit in between the cab. Is this a common thing for people with two cabs stacked? I feel like no one I know has this issue.

The ratchet straps seem like another pain in the ass to undo and do before and after shows. The rubber mat seems decent. I will take pictures when I can, just not at the practice space at the moment.

I've had my Fender Tone master fall face down to the ground when my bigass hiwatt cab shook it off while I had my back turned to it. That's not a light amp mint you...But turns out messing with an FZ-2 + Mastotron combo is not without danger. The subs switch should come with a safety warning.

So yeah, took care of it with a ratchet strap. Even allows you to also put your rig a bit slanted if you wanted to aim everything at your face, to make sure you kill your ear drums even faster :)

I had a problem with my Morgan AC 20 Dlx head vibrating and sliding off (it never fell, but came close) of it's matching 1x12 cab. I bought one of those really thin foam yoga mats from Ross, and cut it to fit on top of my cab. That solved my issue. You could probably also use that grippy/rubbery mesh material used under throw rugs, or shelf/drawer liner.

That ross idea is actually perfect! I still haven't solved my problem. Mostly because I'm lazy and we didn't do practice this week, but I think that it's perfect for my shitty aesthetics anyway haha

I have this problem with my science head and acoustic 2x15. Rubber mat solved it all.
