I decided to settle it by seeing if J. Mascis used either one, because he says live, it's all about the treble, and It turns out, he's used both.

Or you can recommend other treble boosters that are awesome.

a treble booster through a non-master volume marshall 100 watt cranked -> 4/12 = pure sonic power, the notes just slice your entire being. it's a wonderful feeling.....J Mascis has that correct.

anyway....

i prefer the Beano Boost or even the Java Boost over the HBE. as mentioned, the MJM is supposed to be bad arsed. i wanted the HBE to work because it was purple like my marshall but...oh well.

Sounds like the beano is better then. J. Mascis has been using the Beano for his latest shows. This MJM is intruiging me though...
