Features look great on the In Limbo III compact but Im wondering if my Moog delay covers everything it does already. Anyone have both and sble to give some thoughts?

Not that i can think of. Except fit on a regular board?

That's not even a big deal to me because my PT3 has the tough-to-use extra slat and the Moog fits perfectly across three slats.

Seems like the arp modes might be slightly different unless they are the same as sample/hold modulation on the moog.

I know you can tune the ARP mode to specific intervals using the depth knob.

Gonna be honest though, have no idea what the MF104M does, just that it's really expensive and everyone says its worth the price. My In Limbo II is my all-time favorite delay pedal though and the ARP mode is very musically applicable.

I've been watching demos and the Arp mode seems very usable to me. More usable than the similar types of sounds Im getting from the Ottobit Stutter function. Does yours have clock noise issues? Im hearing some high pitched artifacts in youtube demos that sound like the delay is always pushing the limits of the delay line.

Yeah, ARP mode is the big one. I think the blend on the in limbo is a little better too. ARP is a ton of fun running really fast.

I don't really care for all the mod waveshapes on my 104m (I prefer both my in limbo and in limbo ii to the 104m. I also prefer the 104z too in terms of sound).

The tap subdivisions on the limbos is also something the moog doesn't have (good for getting super fast or long quickly), but I use them more for setting my kinda delay range than actual rhythmic stuff.

I also find in limbo to be a more natural fit for guitar levels versus the way the drive control works in the moogerfooger line.

However, the trails thing is nice on the 104m.

I don't truly care for the sound of the 104m overall though...it seems to fit in more specific settings (synths) than a lot of other delays (some of which kinda sound good no matter what). It just doesn't cut with the repeats. In limbo ii kind of has a similar character to the repeats, but I guess I just find it more immediate and easy to deal with.

The clock noise will happen at long delay times on in limbo...but it is stretching the chips way beyond sop. Also, I should note that in limbo 1 uses Panasonic mn chips, ii uses cool audio, and iii i think uses xvive chips. I will be the noisiest with the clock stuff because of the cool audio chips. The newer xvive are supposed to be good.

As for it being like the stutter on ottobit: it could have the same effect in the context of something, but it is a very different t effect I think. It's very much a modulated delay instead of a stutter hold. ARP mode is probably more related to the sample and hold on the moog or chase on supa puss (though implemented different), but different (and I find it more fun than the s/h on the moog).

The way I set up the stutter sounds similar to the sound of the arp modes. Totally different effect in how it works but probably a better for me in terms of really playing.

The S&H on the moog can be cool but I rarely use it. I mostly use light modulation and just enjoy the sound of the delays as an alternative to my Timeline.

My Gravitas sold so I guess I'll find out how cool the In Limbo III is when it shows up from Australia in a week

What's most interesting to me is the Limbo's envelope modulation control. Does the Moog do anything like that?

Envelope mode is my favorite for sure! The only playing out I do is a little to normie for it so I end up using the normal modulation, but the envelope is so awesome. Unfortunately no experience with the moog to compare or contrast.
