PSA: Little Bear Electronics

As of today, I have received a total of 3 defective pedals produced by Little Bear including their R.attack, MB1 (Wooly Mammoth clone), and Tube Booster. The R.attack and Tube Booster both produced variations of the same humming noise that rendered them unsuable, and the MB1 was probably wired backwards given that the battery clip is bypassed when the output (not input) jack is unplugged and its tonality significantly differs from YouTube demo videos. The Tube booster may have actually come with a defective power supply, but I'm still returning it. Though the R.attack and Tube Booster were pretty decent-sounding other than the noise, I won't be spending any more money on Little Bear products. They need to majorly up their QC game. I'm not certain if other ILF'ers have more positive experiences with this brand, but still wanted to share mine, especially given that all products I've ordered from their distributor, Nobsound (via Amazon) have been defective in some way, shape,or form.

I had their mammoth clone.
7/10 for the mammoth sound.

Wiring the battery switching on the output jack isn't 'backwards.' Its just a different choice someone might make. Boss loopers are all wired to connect the battery on the output jack instead of the input.

The model name for the Wooly Mammoth clone was actually "BS1" (ironically enough). Even if the alternate wiring was by choice (and/or to avoid a copyright infringement lawsuit), there are still aspects of the pedal's tonality that make me wonder if it is built correctly. Results are marginally more pleasing with extended range guitars, but online demos of this pedal don't sound as scooped or bassy as what emanates from my rig (which has a relatively flat EQ). Still, I have to admit that the dual LED mammoth eyes are cute ... and there is a reference to some sort of "mod" in the pedal artwork.

I have the r.attack, and while the sweep is wayyy different, you can get rat sounds out of it...and it works fine.
The leds get brighter the closer your hand gets to the enclosure though, which I find too amusing. If you want to pay shipping, you can have it. I never use it.

Bought a R.attack on here and it's now my main dirt pedal. For $30, that thing kicks the shit out of any other pedal I used. Had a few issues with it not outputting sound, but I think that was just a loose cable inside and it works now. LED clip mode on that thing slays 4 days.

Amazon only gave me the option of arranging a return, which makes zero sense to me from a financial perspective. I guess a more functional replacement unit or power supply costs more to source than return shipping.
I should clarify that the most functional of the three pedals came from Doukaudio and that the duds were distributed by Nobsound.
Thanks to all who've chimed in with mojo, feedback, reports, etc. I'm legitimately curious about the QC at Little Bear after my recent experiences.

Thanks so much for the offer. The great Rat hunt of 2016 ended with a Yellowcake Furry Burrito, and I'm now beginning to venture into Klone territory of all places.

Also I just got a fantastic Rat clone w the same Rattack mods and then some from a dude on Reddit, $120. If you want his info I'll be happy to send it along. It's the best Rat I've used that does the 'rat, you dirty, and Turbo' thing. Also has an Lm308 and the Reutz mod switch.
