Crazy Buzzing sound in my overdrive

I wanted to add two other clipping modes in an overdrive and now it's just making this crazy loud oscillation sound. Like a square wave and when I change the clipping, it changes the pitch. Any idea on where to start troubleshooting this?

might be easier if we knew what overdrive it is and what modes you added and where you added them :)

 Oh man been there before. You have to save yourself from your own mistakes or just give up. If you want a pedal that works, just undo everything you did. If you want to know exactly what you did wrong, do it one change at a time and listen to the pedal after each change. An exercise in patience, for sure.

Also, they don't tell you when you start that a lot of the mods you find on the internet that are supposed to be the best thing ever are total garbage. Gotta try them out first yourself to get the real story.

if it is oscillating then you built an oscillator. if the pitch changes with diode clipping then it is certain that the circuit contains at least one capacitor and a feedback loop whose total gain is > 1
