Bundling cables underneath a pedal board

Any general guidelines or tips on the best way to bundle your under-board cables with zip ties? I've read comments about cables crossing each other causing unwanted noise in guitar rigs... Not really sure if it's as big an issue for patch cables on a board, but any words of wisdom on the best way to do this? I've got a Pedaltrain Classic Pro with a Voodoo Lab 4×4 and a Voodoo Lab 2 Plus both mounted underneath. And a shitload of cable

I've never had noise issues from zip tying. Just put it as tidy as you want. Shouldn't be an issue. It's easy enough to cut zips too if you do have a problem.

My whole board underneath was zip tied until recently. Zero problems.

Belkin and some other companies make these little Velcro cable ties. You can get em at Office Depot etc. I use em for under my board and just tying up cables in general. I like em because they're easy to unwrap and reconfigure.

You should have no issue with noise from crossing cables unless they are low quality. You may get noise crossing power cables and audio cables. Especially if they run parallel. Velcro zip ties are the best for fixing things in a pinch, but normal zip ties are good too

Need to post an updated board shot.

And I need to clip those cable ties. Damn!

While it is a fair bit about OCD, it is also about making a big board as indestructible as possible. It'd be so embarrassing to have a stacked board like that fail because of a cable getting loose.

You can just use regular twist ties* underneath (overneath too) unless there's a reason you need those cables to be bundled extra stong?

*the wire kind that come with loaves of bread, and other stuff. Free. And if you gotta change some wiring, it's low-fuss.
