I need a delay

I know, I've done this exact same thread more times than I care to remember
What costs less than an eventide, isn't as impossible to find used as a dod rubberneck, and has better overal build quality than an ehx peddle?
As far as specs go, an Ibanez ES-2 would be perfect, but I'm after something that's not as unreliable and flimsy, without breaking the bank.
So basically a poor man's Dod rubberneck or Supa Puss...
Don't have need for a bunch of really weird modes or glitchy chimmery bullshit. My PS-3 covers more of that than what I really need.
If there's nothing else out there that gives me a boner, I'll just spend a little more and try a supa puss. DM-2W might also make a lot of sense though. Anything else I'm overlooking?

This again!
DE7?
EDIT: tbh why don't you just save up for the Rubberneck? I hadn't checked one of those out before this thread, and I just looked—I doubt you'll find another delay with as many features as that for $250. Competitors I can think of are almost always around $350.
I can't think of a ton of options below that price point that even come close in terms of features. The DE7 really does sound good though and is actually built pretty sturdily (plus usually goes for around 75). Beyond that all I'm really envisioning is the Carbon Copy, which is just sorta ok imo.

Hard to help given the range of stuff you mention. Eventide and Rubberneck are kinda at opposite ends of the spectrum, sound-wise. What do you want to be able to do? What would you use it for?

Like I said I guess...As far as features and tricks go, a slightly cheaper rubberneck or supa puss would be perfect. So a good tap tempo analog delay, preferably with modulation that's not the usual annoying cheesy faux chorus effect that's supposed to emulate tape delay. I really like tone knobs on delays as well, to tweak the darkness/brightness of the repeats according to my signal chain and mood. And obviously, longer delay times, top jacks and small footprint scores extra points as well.
The DE-7 goes for more than what I want to spend on it actually. Great pedal, but the build quality isn't exactly top notch, $75 is a bit steep impo...

Kinda pricey maybe, but the compact In Limbo III would do all of that and then some.
A cheaper option would be an EHX Memory Boy Deluxe.

^ Not really very pricey. Very reasonable for all you get out of it. Anyway, I agree...the compact is the bomb.

Value is good--I just mean against afrohound's budget.

The Xvive Memory delay gets a lot of positive reviews. Can be found for less than $100 used (and on sale). Retails new for $120 somethin. Designed by Howard Davis. Simple. Same awesome Memory Man modulation.
There's also this:
Sinvertek Fluid Time MKII : $189 new. Analog with TT and a shitload of other stuff. Couple of demos on youtube to check out.
Edit: These are NOT recommendations. Haven't tried either, but thought you may want to.

to op: if you're after a supa puss-like delay but don't need all the fancy functions, the aquapuss might be a wise choice

Nah, I do need those fancy options actually. Or most of em anyway. It's just the price tag I don't like too much
