Desk Swivel Chair GAS

I've been telling myself that I I need to buy a new desk chair for a while. Mine is super dead, it's slowly been converted from being lined with fake leather to lined with entirely with layers of gaffer tape. It's kind of crooked on the back, and recently developed a series of squeaks that are rather annoying.
Does anyone have any swivel chairs they like? Must have removable arm rests or none at all.

Depends - does it have to be a CHAIR chair? I mean, I assume you're at a mixing console all day, so I'm guessing it might have to be, but I've been working at a standing desk for a few years now, and I use a Focal Mogo leaning stool for when I've got to lean back a bit... and they do have the Pivot, which looks like it's a little more of a "sitting experience" than their leaning stools...

I always dug those ergonomic chairs with the kneeling thing and no back. Worked surprisingly well at a computer. Prayer at the electric box.

I had a General Fireproofing Company Good Form chair that I deeply regret letting go of. It was like a mid century hug for my ass.

I work in an Aeron all day which is great. They're available with no arms.

Yeah, this is for my home setup, so no actual console and fairly stationary. Would strongly prefer something that pivots though. This is for me to lean back into and playing after moving heavy shit during the day, or for concentrating on a personal mix.
Good suggestions all around. Thanks y'all.
Those standing desks and ball chairs are great for staying attentive in, never really felt at ease in then though. I actually stand a lot and it has done wonders for my back. And aeron chairs are amazing. We have them at all my work desks and mixing spots. I was hoping to spend a little less on it though. Maybe around $450 max.

I have an Aeron too, was a splurge but my back was toast in my previous chair. Got mine off Craigslist, vastly better than buying new. Companies go under all the time and have to flip em.

Yeah you can get 'em used but keep in mind they come in multiple sizes so you want to confirm A/B/C depending on how big you are before you buy. They last forever too which is nice. I've seen them on sale online for around your price point too.

Your body is crying out for a standing desk.
It's the only way.

I get these IKEA Bekvam things for 10€, paint them a cool color. Solid, good for posture, functional.
Swivel chairs always fuck up somewhere. Bad soldering on the wheels, or shitty back support or whatever unless you drop some very very serious money. AND I HATE BOTH OF THESE SITUATIONS.

What Darcy said. I'm a 105kg dude, and armrests always break off on my swivel chairs. Now I use a simple, solid leather dining table chair with metal legs that my neighbour gave me.
I used to have this chair and it was the tits. Put it together myself from a broken office chair and a cozy ass armchair.
