I've had this thing for AGES but never really used it. Tonight I was going to take it home from the studio to try with my synth rig, but I thought I'd test it on guitar first. This thing is GREAT and I never appreciated it.

There'll be a full knob-turning video soon, but here's a supercut of some of my favourite sounds:

I picked up one with the foot controller super cheap a couple years ago. It can do the '80s digital thing perfectly (Flight Time and co) that people have been creaming themselves over lately, but it also does some stuff I haven't heard *anything* else do once you starting experimenting with it. I really want to find a DMD2000 to dedicate to straight up delay so I can free the HD1500 up for crazy.

In delay mode there's a pitch modulation you can get running. It gets pretty wild if you want! It also has a pitch shift mode which can get glitchy and wobbly on really cool ways. One octave up with pitch modulation is amazing.

I actually remarked exactly this during the full demo. It's really an "in" sound right now. When you drop the sample rate to get the longer delay times it gets dark and swampy and slightly distorted and lovely.
