I will never buy an 8 string, because I know that I'll stop playing all music except Meshuggah.
And it will be glorious.
I'd hit that if it was a hardtail!

It actually is a hardtail. Its got the main body of a floyd, but instead of being on a knife edge with springs it mounts in with two bolts like a tune-o-matic tailpiece. so its basically just a really bigass fine tuner bridge. Im kindof in love...

Dude. Ibanez necks are winning.
The pickups are 99/100 times dogshit, but if you like nothibg else about them, the necks are amaze balls.
She looks like a beau!
Decent woods?

I have an RG that I quite like. Fretboard is rad, but the neck is pretty much a toothpick. Needs 100% baseball bat. Wondering what the wider neck feels like though.

Neck is hella skinny. Like really really skinny. The skinniness combined with the 8stringyness means you better be niprocking it to even consider chords on GB OR E above the 9th fret. Neck feels awesome. Its WENGE with like an oil finish like a warwick. Provides some really great color contrast too! The top is actually quilted but painted in this semi opaque grey finish so its not all TGP looking. The pickguard is really nice tort, approaching spitfire levels, and is just there for looks as the entire thing is rear routed. All in all tosin designed a really great looking guitar that isnt too chug lyfe. Once i figure out what im doing i think it would sound siqqqqqqq playing shoegays chords with a flanger or reverse delay. It retails for something like $4000 and i def wouldnt have paid that for an 8 string but it is def a quality instrument and i believe worth its price. Frets really need a dress and polish though, but thats one of those little niggles ive always had with ibanez that i doubt alot of other people care about...
