would love to have a small tabletop rack for an audio interface and a patchbay, can't find anything the right size, angle, depth or price.

is there a neat place to look?

i'm looking at this. it might actually work if i can find something to put under it to angle it. but not a big fan of carpeting.

i mean, i would try to build one myself. but i have NO wood working experience.

You'll have trouble finding something like that with only 4 spaces, but something with 8 like https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DR8Rack might be simple enough. Take a saw to it and cut it shorter.

Yea, 8 is the smallest in that format I've seen, I have a 12U one. It's as deep as your deepest rack unit (if you have one of the ones that isn't the full depth, and a string of those, it's actually quite shallow).
